WELCOME TO BROADWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Broadway Animal Hospital’s Mission
Broadway Animal Hospital Management and Staff are committed to providing superior advanced medical and surgical services with outstanding customer satisfaction. Our reputation is based on treating our clients and their pets as if they were members of our own family. We will always strive to do our best and to be available whenever you or your pet needs us.
Broadway Animal Hospital takes great pride in maintaining and operating a state of the art facility to meet all of your pet’s needs.
Dental CareDental care is vital for your pet’s good health. In addition to decaying teeth and destroying bone, bacteria that have built up in the mouth can spread to vital organs (heart, liver, kidneys), causing serious – if not life-threatening – medical problems.
SurgerySurgery of any kind can be a source of anxiety and stress for many pet owners. Our focus on patient safety, pain management and skilled surgical practices is foremost in exceeding your expectations and ensuring your pet receive the very best care possible.
Wellness ExamsWellness exams are a vital component to keeping your pet in tiptop shape from head to toe. Broadway Animal Hospital recommends annual checkups for pets up to age 7, and semi-annual visits after that.
In- House Lab
We have an onsite laboratory for timely analysis of samples that have either been collected by our doctors or brought in by our clients. This can be done for diagnostic purposes or to establish a baseline for early disease detection in the future.
RadiologyBroadway Animal Hospital employs safe, painless and non-invasive technology along with a compassionate, experienced staff to assist in the diagnosis of routine and complex diseases in cats and dogs.
Pain affects pets more than just physically; it can take an emotional toll as well, especially chronic pain. Since our furry friends cannot talk to us about their discomfort, they rely on us to recognize the signs and manage their symptoms.
The History of Broadway Animal Hospital
Broadway Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Richard L. Cook, who was accepted at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1954. He began his career with Dr. Anson Lewis in Pine City NY and in 1960 became a full partner at that practice. In 1964, Dr. Cook purchased the land on the south side of Elmira, and built Broadway Animal Hospital.
His son Dr. R. Gregory Cook, a graduate of Iowa State School of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice in 1990 and continues the trusted traditions and vision that our clients have come to expect and our hospital still stands on the land that was purchased by our founder.
The present staff at Broadway Animal Hospital represents over 50 years of experience in providing veterinary care to our valued customers.
